Stipends & Benefits

To participate in the Master’s degree or Certificate programs in Clinical and Translational Science you must hold a faculty or training position at Mayo Clinic. The Center for Translational Science Activities (CTSA) does not offer any paid positions. While you are enrolled in the program, your regular salary or stipend will continue to be paid by your department, school or grant that is funding your position.

Medical Students:

Funding opportunities may exist at your medical school or through various funding agencies such as NIH, Sarnoff Foundation, or Initiative for Maximizing Student Diversity. Your potential mentor may also be aware of funding opportunities.

Residents/Fellows:

Funding opportunities may exist through the NIH (K-awards, Training grants - T awards and F awards) or through various foundation funding career development awards. Your potential mentor or home institution may also be aware of funding opportunities.

Junior Faculty:

Funding opportunities may exist through the NIH (K-awards, Training grants - T awards, F awards) or through various foundation funding career development awards. Your division, department or research chair may also be aware on internal career development funding opportunities.

In addition, all your regular benefits remain in effect during your appointment to the program.
